Cares for a Cause is our way of giving back to our community. Every month, Image in a Box donates to a local nonprofit picked by one of our team members. Jacob chose the Land Trust of North Alabama for February!

IIAB CFAC Cares For A Cause FEB-2022-BLOGAbout the Land Trust of North Alabama

The Land Trust of North Alabama is a nonprofit organization with a passion for preserving North Alabama's beautiful natural landscape. As Alabama's first land trust, they work with city officials to purchase and protect more than 9,000 acres of undeveloped land in the North Alabama area. These parcels of land are then designated as scenic nature trails, habitats for rare species, and outdoor spaces for educational enrichment for children.

The Land Trust of North Alabama is supported by generous members and volunteers across our community. They have won numerous awards for their work since their founding in 1987 and continue to work with local leaders to preserve more of North Alabama's untouched wilderness.

Why Jacob Chose the Land Trust of North Alabama

As an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, Jacob loves spending time outside at our local trails. He says,

"It's more important now than ever to get outside. The Land Trust of North Alabama preserves natural lands for the free enjoyment of everyone. They have preserved more than 9,000 acres of land, maintain over 70 miles of trails, and even help protect endangered and threatened species. One of my favorite things to do is enjoy the trails at the various local preserves and that would not be possible without the Land Trust."

Learn how you can help the Land Trust of North Alabama, too! You can support the preservation of North Alabama's natural greenery by volunteering, donating, or becoming a member.  However you choose to help, you are making a difference for our community and our planet.

Stay tuned to see which nonprofit our team selects in March!
