About AshaKiran
AshaKiran is a nonprofit organization located in Huntsville, Alabama that empowers and supports individuals from a variety of cultures who may be experiencing a serious crisis. They provide a safe haven to victims affected by human trafficking, abuse, and assault and also provide trauma-informed cultural education across our community.
AshaKiran even provides a 24/7 crisis hotline for those in need. Their team can speak more than 50 languages so victims in crisis can always feel comfortable and understood. No matter where you're from or what you're going through, AshaKiran is here to help.
Why Michelle Chose AshaKiran
Michelle believes in the mission of AshaKiran and recognizes the need for multicultural support in our community. She says,
"Domestic violence continues to grow all over the nation and our community at large. AshaKiran is A Ray of Hope to those suffering from this growing violence in our community. They help them get a safety plan in place to get out of these horrible situations and they even offer safe living for the victims as they transition out of these life-threatening living environments.
