3 ways to liven up your LinkedIn company profile…

Do you find your LinkedIn® Company Page to be a tad bit…boring?

Well, let’s spice it up with these 3 easy steps…

1. Liven up the company home page by adding a Banner Image

2. Show off your company’s expertise by adding your products and/or services

3. Setup target audiences for each Product of Service within your Company Page

 

Here’s how:

1. Liven up the company home page by adding a Banner Image

    • Go to your Company Page and click the “Edit” button on the right.

    • Scroll down to the Image section
    • You will need a 646 x 220 pixel image or larger to add into this section. When you have an image ready, click the small edit button to add it in
    • Then scroll back up to the top and click the “Publish” button voila! Your company page is coming to life!

Not sure what sort of image to put in the Banner Image area?

  • Promote your top 2 or 3 products or services
  • Draw attention to your latest promotion, contest, or giveaways
  • Focus on a nearby holiday

2. Show off your company’s expertise by adding your products and/or services

    • Once again, go to your Company Page and click on the arrow next to the “Edit” button and select “Add Product or Service” from the pulldown portion

    • Follow steps 1 through 11 on this page to enter tons of information about your product or service

How to add a Product or Service in LinkedIn

  • Finalize the Product or Service spruce up by clicking the “Publish button”

Adding in your products and/or services into LinkedIn is very beneficial. LinkedIn allows you to add in tons of valuable information about your product or service.

With LinkedIn’s Product and Service pages, you can make your LinkedIn Company Page do more selling for you. These pages allow you to add in a product photo, a product description, promotions, product videos, as well as numerous other items!

3. Setup target audiences for each Product of Service within your Company Page

Note: This feature of LinkedIn Company Pages has to be one of the most useful, yet least used. I think this is because no one knows how to get there…so now you can be in the know!

    • Go to the Product or Service Tab on your Company Page and click the “Edit” button
    • Now you will be able to follow Steps 1 through 4 to set up view variations for your Product and Services page based on the audience

  • Instantly do more audience targeting by clicking the “Publish button”

As I mentioned previously, this feature is highly useful!! You can set up target audience based on tons of attributes such as: company size, job function, industry, seniority, and geographical location. You can add in images, videos, and even the order in which the products and services appear for each target audience segment! You can’t get much better than that!
