Cares for a Cause - Free 2 Teach - July 2021

Cares for a Cause is our way of giving back to our local community. Every month, one of our team members selects a local nonprofit to receive a donation. For this month, Michelle chose Free 2 Teach to receive a donation!

About Free 2 Teach

Founded in 2011, Free 2 Teach provides relief to local school teachers experiencing an all too common issue: lack of state funding for school supplies. Free 2 Teach offers free school supplies to an estimated 3,800 full-time teachers and 53,000 students across Madison County's three major public school systems.

Educators can stop by the 10,000 square foot warehouse to "shop" for any supplies they may need for their classroom. Since its founding, Free 2 Teach has donated approximately $8 million worth of supplies and resources to North Alabama teachers. 

Why Michelle Chose Free 2 Teach

Michelle is passionate about supporting our local educators and providing for students in need. She says, "Back to school is right around the corner and Free 2 Teach is an amazing resource to make the Huntsville community better, one well-equipped teacher at a time. They provide access to classroom resources for teachers and students in need of them. This helps decrease the educational gap that poverty causes within our local community.
